Delete your WAYA account
Permanently remove your account from the app or request deletion if you cannot sign in.

Deletion cannot be undone. Download or save anything you want to keep before continuing.
Delete in the app
- Sign in to WAYA.
- Open You → Delete account. In the web app, open You → Account settings → Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm permanent deletion.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@wayahq.com from the verified email address on your WAYA account with the subject “Delete my WAYA account.” We may ask for additional non-password information needed to confirm account ownership. Never send us your password or an email verification/reset code.
If you no longer control the verified email address, explain that in your message. We will only process the request after we can safely verify account ownership.
What deletion removes
- Your live account, email identity, password credential, and active sessions.
- Your profile, user messages, social data, and calls initiated by your account.
- Your images, profile photo, voice notes, videos, PDFs, and other account media from each active storage provider. Backblaze objects are permanently deleted by their exact version ID; failed or ambiguous cleanup is queued for retry.
What may remain temporarily or be retained
- Residual database copies may remain in encrypted operational backups until those backups rotate out, normally within 14 days. Backups are isolated from the live service and are used only for operational recovery.
- Account-detached or pseudonymised financial, fraud-prevention, safety, deletion-receipt, or audit records may be retained when required by law or needed to protect the service.
- Messages or content other people independently created, and records they are legally entitled to retain, are not part of your account deletion.
